Job Purpose: The Accounting Manager leads and coordinates Denova’s core accounting functions, including payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, and financial reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong internal controls, supporting audits, ensuring compliance, and driving accuracy across all financial systems.
You will oversee a high-performing accounting team, ensure timely monthly and annual closes, and partner closely with leadership to support financial planning, forecasting, and operational decisions.
What You Will Do:
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop an ambitious, high-performing accounting team.
- Monitor staff morale and build a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Conduct regular 1:1 supervision meetings, quarterly reviews, and performance evaluations.
- Participate in interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new team members.
- Address performance challenges promptly and professionally.
Core Accounting Operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable, cash management, and general ledger accuracy.
- Manage, execute, and improve the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to support decision-making and organizational planning.
- Provide requested financial reports to support leadership and department needs.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of accounting records and financial information.
- Support annual audits and ensure compliance with all accounting standards and policies.
- Promote efficient accounting operations and adherence to internal procedures.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Support strategic planning initiatives and department-wide priority setting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen financial workflows and systems.
- Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance (required).
- Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience (required).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support staff.
- Proven experience improving processes and solving complex accounting issues.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/payroll software systems.
Your Work Schedule:
- Full-Time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Hybrid schedule based on departmental needs
