We have been retained by an Austin, Texas-based software company seeking an experienced AI Developer to enhance their SaaS platform with advanced large-language-model (LLM) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations. Working closely with the CTO, this is an opportunity to combine deep AI implementation experience with strong data engineering and modern web development skills to deliver intelligent, context-aware compliance and automation features.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of software development experience, including strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/React.
- In-depth understanding of LLM architectures, contextual orchestration, and prompt engineering.
- Hands-on experience implementing MCP or similar AI integration frameworks for model orchestration and secure API communication.
- Proven success building or integrating RAG systems, embeddings, and semantic search.
- Expertise in data manipulation and analysis tools such as Pandas, SQL, or PySpark.
- Experience developing or consuming microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of compliance, data governance, or document classification systems is a plus.
Preferred Tools & Technologies:
- OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude (MCP), LangChain or LlamaIndex, Pinecone/FAISS, FastAPI, Node.js, React, AWS or Azure cloud environments, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka.
- Design and implement LLM-based solutions and MCP-enabled integrations tailored to the company’s platform.
- Develop, test, and deploy AI features that analyze structured and unstructured data to detect compliance risks and automate data validation.
- Build and optimize pipelines for data extraction, transformation, enrichment, and contextualization to support LLM and RAG workflows.
- Write and refine prompts, manage session context, and tune model interactions for task-specific outcomes.
- Implement MCP client and server components to standardize communication between the platform, third-party systems, and LLMs.
- Define and manage MCP schemas, resources, and contextual endpoints to ensure secure, interpretable AI interactions.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to embed AI-driven insights into a React/JavaScript interface.
- Design and integrate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and vector database connections for scalable, high-performance inference.
