Assistant Vice President, Financial Operations
 

Schedule: Monday-Friday. Full time. Minimum overnight travel (up to 30%) by land and/or air.

How you’ll contribute 

The Assistant Vice President, Financial Operations is responsible for identifying, developing and cultivating the strategy for a subset of hospitals within Lifepoint Rehabilitation Inpatient Facilities (IRF).

 

An Assistant Vice President, Financial Operations who excels in this role:

  • Lead the development and consistent oversight of financial tools and resources that provide strategic insight and guidance. 

  • Implement and manage the standard operating metrics, reports, and dashboards ensuring scalability and alignment to overall strategic priorities: quality and service, growth, operations excellence and talent.

  • Monitor performance to ensure fiscal responsibilities are fulfilled across the region.

  • Interact with and directs the Directors of Finance in the development of long and short- range operations plan which may include service demand analyses, resources availability analyses and cost benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff expansions.

  • Lead the development of long and short range operational and capital budgets which are supported by the hospitals’ long and short-range plans and objectives.

  • Collaborate with Division Vice President in the development of departmental budgets, and monitors, interprets, and analyzes financial performance in realizing established plans and objectives for the hospitals.

  • Identify and report undesirable trends and potential business opportunities and makes recommendations for action and directs the preparation of internal financial reports and assures that the reports reliably reflect the financial position of the hospitals.
  • Guide and assist in the preparation of statistical reports, SWB calculations and reconciliations, proforma development, and financial reports.
  • Reviews the resources and leads the hiring of staff that are needed to provide all financial operations requirements.
  • Conduct contract reviews as needed.

  • Lead the oversight of strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost analysis, and forecasting.

  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operations information and makes actionable recommendations.

  • Train the field and operational teams in raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters, policies, and processes.

What we are looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting/financial experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Licenses: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
