As a Corrections Electronics Trade Instructor, you will supervise and instruct inmates in a structured classroom and on-the-job training program in the electronics trade at SCI Forest. In this position, you will conduct classroom training, maintain documentation of inmates’ progress, and oversee inmate work crews completing work orders. This will include instructing inmates in a variety of electronics, which include general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and installation of new electronic fixtures and equipment. You can expect to plan and inspect daily work assignments, issue and inventory materials and tools used, and conduct searches to ensure materials and tools are accounted for. Additionally, you will maintain order and discipline of inmates during work assignments and classroom instruction.
