This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic state-level initiatives at the intersection of government, education, and business. You will build and lead a state-focused commercial engine, engaging with policymakers, education leaders, and key stakeholders to unlock revenue opportunities and expand market presence. The position requires a combination of GM-style ownership, policy expertise, and relationship-building skills. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams, translating insights into actionable strategies, while influencing state-level policies to support program delivery. Accountabilities
- Design, execute, and own state-level go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth in target markets.
- Build executive-level relationships with state decision-makers, agencies, and education partners.
- Identify and develop state contracts, partnerships, RFP opportunities, grant programs, and procurement initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal, Clinical) to align strategy and messaging.
- Monitor and address regulatory or policy barriers affecting market access and program implementation.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, policy convenings, and association meetings.
- Manage external consultants, lobbyists, and advocacy partners to advance organizational objectives.
- Provide strategic insights and guidance to senior leadership on state funding, market dynamics, and partnership opportunities.
Requirements - 8+ years of commercial leadership experience in business development, state-level sales, partnerships, or market expansion.
- 3+ years of direct experience engaging with government agencies, ideally at the state level.
- Deep knowledge of state education funding, procurement, and partnership dynamics.
- Experience launching and scaling new business lines or market verticals from inception.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in both commercial and government sectors.
- Strong GM-style ownership, autonomy, and commercial judgment.
- Excellent negotiation, deal-making, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Experience managing external advocacy partners, lobbyists, and consultants.
- Preferred: expertise in the education sector and understanding of teletherapy or health-related service delivery.
