The Operations Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing cross-functional operational projects with a focus on transactions (acquisitions/dispositions), seasonal initiatives, and the rollout of new initiatives, systems, and/or policies. This role helps ensure projects are planned, communicated, implemented, and completed efficiently and effectively in alignment with company goals. The Operations Project Manager will work closely with operations leadership, property teams, and cross-departmental partners to drive performance, streamline processes, and deliver high-impact results that support the success of Tailwind Group.
This is a full-time position working a standard schedule, Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. Nights or weekends may be required from time to time dependent on business needs.
The compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 plus bonus potential. This range is determined by current market data based on the position requirements and complexities. Final offers of employment will be based on multiple factors including candidate education, skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Serve as operational lead for acquisition, disposition onboarding/offboarding; coordinate operational readiness, team training, and integration of systems and policies.
- Facilitate recurring operations and transitions calls, ensuring consistent updates and alignment between buyer/seller and internal teams.
- Collect and relay diligence requests from the Operations Transition Team to the buyer/seller, ensuring timely responses and keeping all diligence trackers updated.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple complex projects from concept through execution including timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Provide assistance with research, development, and implementation of new initiatives, projects, and operational strategies.
- Maintain organized documentation of project scope, execution steps, communications, and outcomes for reference and reporting.
- Identify risks and operational barriers; develop proactive solutions to overcome challenges and keep projects on track.
- Communicate and provide regular updates, progress tracking, and post-project evaluations to leadership.
- Collaborate with the Tailwind Operations Support team and other departments to identify and agree on strategies for effectively implementing standards, practices, programs, and processes.
- Help to identify problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments.
- Serve as a key point of contact for on-site teams needing operational guidance, troubleshooting, or clarification of policies and procedures.
- Assist with training new or current employees on their job-specific duties and operational processes and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques applicable to the organization, or the industry.
- Contribute to a culture of responsiveness, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the Operations Support team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required.
- Three or more years of experience in property operations, project management, or corporate support role within the student housing or real estate industry(s).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work in a growing, fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possess strong administrative, organization, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

- Demonstrated ability to hold accountability and push progress.
- Possess a basic understanding of property management standards, including Fair Housing laws, Tenant/Landlord rights, and general real estate principles.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Extensive experience working in a project management software - familiarity with Asana and Entrata is preferred.
- This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
