The individual in this position is responsible for the overall protection of life and property at the assigned campuses by reviewing campus needs, planning, through regular patrols and daily contact with members of the campus community. The Corporal will, in conjunction with the Public Safety Sergeants, Executive Director of Public Safety and Preparedness and the Lieutenant of Public Safety, develop plans and processes that are tailored to the needs of the assigned campus but consistent with college-wide processes, needs and department goals and needs. The Corporal is expected to conduct their day-to-day work with little to no direct supervision, independently solve problems, establish priorities, and handle emergencies, including potentially dangerous situations.
Reports to: Assigned Public Safety Sergeant
The hiring salary for this position will be from the min to mid-point of the salary range. This position is open until filled.

Full-time employees must promptly disclose in writing, on a form available from the Human Resources Office, to the college all other full-time employment or its equivalent in independent consulting.
