RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our network of exceptional clinicians. You will have the ongoing support of our dedicated team, allowing you to focus on delivering high\-quality patient care<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

Overview:<\/span><\/b>  This exciting opportunity for a Registered Dietitian offers a flexible and rewarding work\-life balance with a blend of in\-person and remote work options.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

Facility Type:<\/span><\/b> Acute Care<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

Part\-time hours:<\/span><\/b> 16 hours per week (50% Remote) <\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

Preferred coverage:<\/span><\/b> Thursdays and Fridays, one day onsite and the other can be completed via telehealth. <\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

Additional hours:<\/span><\/b> Opportunity for an additional 16 hours every third weekend as part of a rotating schedule<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

Compensation:<\/span><\/b> $30.00\-38.00 per hour depending on experience <\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

Travel Reimbursement:<\/span><\/b> Paid at the same hourly rate for time traveling to and from the facility<\/span>

Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/p>

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritional risk, adhering to facility policies and procedures<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Develop, implement and monitor individualized and evidence\-based nutrition care plans for patients with complex medical conditions<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Offer nutrition education and counseling to patients and families regarding acute disease management, discharge planning, and prevention of readmission.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Proactively collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, speech\-language pathologists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate timely discharge.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Ensure  compliance with all hospital policies, regulatory standards (e.g., TJC, CMS), and best practice guidelines for acute care nutrition.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Maintain <\/span>t<\/span><\/b>horough and timely electronic medical record documentation in a fast\-paced environment, reflecting medical necessity and intervention effectiveness.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Routinely monitor patients for acute changes in weight, labs, fluid status, and clinical condition, adjusting nutrition interventions promptly.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical rounds etc to enhance nutrition care services and overall patient safety within the acute care setting.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Serve as a nutrition expert and resource for hospital staff, contributing to staff education and development.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice as needed<\/span>

  Experience & Qualifications:<\/span><\/b>
  <\/span><\/p>

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD\/RDN).<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Current state licensure\/certification (if mandated by the state).<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Minimum of 2\-3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting (required).<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Demonstrated experience managing patients with diverse, complex medical conditions.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Proficiency in enteral and parenteral nutrition support.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and high\-performing healthcare teams in high\-pressure situations.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Possesses superior critical thinking, problem\-solving, and decision\-making abilities to assess rapidly changing objectives, develop, and implement effective, time\-sensitive plans.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Strong familiarity with acute care workflows, electronic health records (EHR), and regulatory standards relevant to hospital accreditation.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.<\/span>
