Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled registered nurses (RNs) for our Emergency Room (ER) to provide direct patient care to individuals experiencing acute medical emergencies. RNs will work collaboratively with military and civilian healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective interventions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role involves assessing and monitoring vital signs, managing critical medical conditions, and implementing protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment for all patients in need of immediate care. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to individuals experiencing medical emergencies, including comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of their condition. 
  • Collaborate effectively with military and civilian healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in the emergency department. 
  • Uphold strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment for both patients and healthcare staff. 
  • Monitor and accurately document vital signs, patient responses, and overall progress in a timely manner. 
  • Prepare and manage necessary medical equipment and supplies for various emergency interventions. 
  • Anticipate the needs of the healthcare team during critical care procedures, providing timely support and assistance. 
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, recovery expectations, and available resources for follow-up care. 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all institutional policies and healthcare regulations. 
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records in accordance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

  • Must have a valid unrestricted RN license from any US State or territory. 
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).  
  • Minimum of 1-2 Years of experience in specialty in the last 3-5 years. 

Education Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or prior experience in a military or government healthcare facility is strongly preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.  
  • May be exposed to contagious diseases, radiation, and high-stress environments. 

Other Special Qualifications: 

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate. 
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. 
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance. 

Additional Information

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. 

Compensation:  Min: $40hr        Max: $90hr
