As the Senior Vice President of Youth & Government, you will oversee one of the nation's most impactful civic education programs, guiding thousands of students through immersive, hands-on experiences in government, policy-making, and leadership. You'll lead strategic growth, develop meaningful partnerships, and ensure that every participant has access to inclusive, empowering, and high-quality programming. What You'll Do:

Lead the Vision & Growth of Youth & Government - Oversee program strategy, expansion, and innovation to ensure maximum impact on youth leadership development 🏛️📈

Develop & Strengthen Partnerships - Collaborate with state officials, schools, community leaders, and YMCA branches to expand engagement and program reach 🤝🌎

Champion Diversity & Inclusion - Ensure equitable access and participation for youth of all backgrounds, creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive 🌈💬

Oversee Program Operations & Quality - Manage the program's curriculum, legislative simulations, leadership opportunities, and overall participant experience 📚🏆

Support & Mentor Staff & Volunteers - Lead a passionate team of directors, coordinators, and volunteers dedicated to youth civic education and development 🙌💼

Manage Budget & Resources - Oversee financial planning, fundraising, and resource allocation to sustain and grow the program 💰📊

Represent the YMCA & Advocate for Youth Leadership - Serve as a key spokesperson, advocate, and thought leader in the field of civic education and youth engagement 🗣️✨

What We're Looking For:

• Passion for Civic Engagement & Youth Leadership - Experience in youth development, education, government, public policy, or nonprofit leadership 🌟🏛️
• Proven Leadership & Strategic Vision - Ability to lead at a high level, develop impactful programs, and drive meaningful outcomes 🚀📢
• Strong Relationship-Building & Advocacy Skills - Comfort working with elected officials, community partners, donors, and educators to expand the program's impact 🤝🏫
• Experience in Program Management & Growth - Background in leading statewide or large-scale programs, including staff development, budgeting, and strategic planning 🎯💼
• Excellent Communication - Ability to inspire, engage, and advocate for youth development at the highest levels 🏆🎤
• Education & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (Public Administration, Education, Political Science, or related field) or equivalent demonstrated years of experience in a similar role with youth programming.
  • Minimum of 10+ years in leadership, program development, or nonprofit management.
