GOVERNMENT ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE:

Location: Phoenix, AZ, office, or North Little Rock, AR, headquarters. 

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Government Account Executive to drive business development and sales growth within government markets, including federal, state, and local agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and public sector decision-making frameworks. This individual will be responsible for developing strategic relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities within federal, state, and/or local government agencies.
  • Build long-term, trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Understand client needs and present tailored solutions using company products or services.
  • Navigate the government procurement process, including RFP/RFQ responses, GSA schedules, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, legal, product, finance, etc.) to ensure successful execution of sales strategies.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and quarterly revenue goals.
  • Stay current on industry trends, government policy changes, and competitor offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2–5+ years of experience in B2G (business-to-government) acquisition sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in the public sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of government contracting, procurement regulations, and sales cycles.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Existing relationships with government agency contacts.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Experience selling SaaS, IT solutions, Cybersecurity, and Design and Build solutions to government clients.
