Marstel-Day, a premier environmental and sustainability consulting firm, is seeking a mid- to senior-level Accounting Specialist to provide support to the Finance Team. This role is primarily focused on leading and managing Accounts Receivables (AR), ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, and tracking related financial data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication and teamwork skills, strong administrative skills (detailed oriented, accurate), good Microsoft Excel and Word skills, and preferably experience with Federal invoicing systems (although not required). Key duties of the position is to manage AR workflow, prepare invoices in a team environment, ensure accurate and timely invoicing, monitoring aging reports, resolve billing issues, aggressively manage AR turnaround, maintain accurate records, and work with the CFO to prepare accounting reports and support related accounting functions.
