TITLE:

Federal Programs Coordinator

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Master’s Degree in Education.

·         Valid Teacher Certification.

·         At least five years successful experience in

federal programs at district or state level

preferred.

·         At least five years classroom teaching

experience.

·         Experience presenting in-service training to

large groups.

 

 

REPORTS TO:

Chief Academic Officer

 

JOB GOAL:

To ensure that assigned federal programs are implemented effectively and that federal funds are managed in compliance with federal, state, and district policies, while advancing student learning and providing support to the schools the programs are designed to serve.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Coordinates district consolidated federal program planning and plan implementation.

·         Stays current with federal laws and policy on implementation of programs and uses of funds.

·         Provides training and guidance so that program participants are informed, consensus is reached and programs run according to intent of statutes.

·         Meets with site administrators to ensure site planning and federal program coordination is implemented.

·         Assists and advises sites on program financial planning, budgeting.

·         Approves requisitions, purchase orders and expenditures of federal program funds.

·         Assists teachers and principals in planning professional development activities that support site plans for improved classroom instruction.

·         Assists principals, as requested, in the supervision of federal programs being carried out at the site.

·         Engages in research on best practices related to classroom delivery of services to children who are the programs recipients.

·         Devises, maintains and submits records and reports as required to district, state and federal agencies.

·         Serves on other district committees to improve delivery of services to children in the district.

·         Provide guidance to, and submits reports regarding to, participating private schools within the districts boundaries.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Twelve-month basis.  Salary to be established by the Board of Education.

 

 

 

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy.
