Summary:

This position develops and manages key government sales related accounts.  Responsible for overseeing the coordinated effort to ensure customer satisfaction and review/analyze new government related sales opportunities.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages new sales in the government direct and indirect sectors
  • Manages all aspects of assigned accounts, including growth opportunities
  • Maintains a strong working relationship with internal partners to leverage their knowledge base        
  • Advises customers on types of and purchase needs 
  • Monitors customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
  • Suggests and implements improvements to the sales administration process
  • Uses tools to track and analyze sales productivity
  • Represents company at various government supplier base conferences

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred, but not required
  • Valve and/or other related Industrial sales experience required
  • At least 10 years in government sales accepted in lieu of degree

 Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This position is primarily in the office, some travel may be required
