Introduction
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will translate conversations, presentations, materials and requirements into agile backlog features and user stories.
This is a proposal-based position; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, including daily team stand ups and backlog grooming with the government product owner
Elicit, identify, and capture functional and non-functional requirements through systems and use case analysis
Capture and transform stakeholder needs, expectations, constraints, and interfaces into customer features and requirements
Develop system context models, use case models, user interface storyboards, business process flow models, and domain models
Write use case specifications
Identify and specify business rules and map rules to use cases
Define an appropriate set of requirements definition and management tasks and estimate the work for their tasks and backlog items
Provide support for review of requirements compliance and requirements management best practices and artifacts
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent industry work experience)
12+ years of BA and/or Scrum experience
Scrum Master certification required
Must understand agile scrum ceremonies and agile methodology as our requirements, development and delivery will be based on a scrum backlog
Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Product/System requirements elicitation, requirements definition and requirements management experience
Hands on experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps or similar agile project management/requirements management/product management tools
Experience working on Agile teams using Scrum/Kanban agile methods
Location:
This is a remote role with occasional travel to Martinsburg, WV and Washington, D.C.
Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance with U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience working on Cloud application development projects
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for Program Increment (PI) Planning
Knowledge of Hospitality industry domain strongly preferred
SAFe PM/PO, and CSM certifications strong preferred
Experience in custom application development on the AWS, Microsoft technology platform, Microsoft Office, and development tools to create innovative business solutions is strongly preferred
