JOB SUMMARY

The Healthcare Technology Services Manager directs and coordinates biomedical equipment services that provide lifecycle management of biomedical equipment including safety testing, repair, maintenance, and user support. Establishes standards and procedures for equipment maintenance, testing, calibration, documentation, and inventory processes. Provides technical leadership and develops applicable training and resources for medical staff to ensure correct and safe operations of all equipment and devices. Works with vendors to maintain up-to-date information about new products and equipment upgrades. In addition to biomedical equipment responsibilities, the Manager also oversees Imaging System Services. Additionally, the Healthcare Technology Services Manager supports the equipment needs of all specialty areas including Radiology, Clinical Pathology, Cardiology, Respiratory Therapy, and others. Requires a bachelor's degree. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the equipment budgets as well as procurement strategy. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Undergraduate degree preferred.

Licensure: Network+ or CCNA certification preferred.

Experience: A minimum of four (4) years work experience with on-prem and hosted systems (preferably Capsule, Carescape, and/or a like MDI configuration and management tools) along with a support issue tracking system;

A minimum of six (6) years work experience in Healthcare Information Management in a dynamic and service oriented organization.

Hamilton Health Care System (HHCS) would consider 5+ years of Healthcare IT experience in lieu of undergraduate degree.

Skills: Collaborate with the C-suite and key strategic stakeholders in developing a Healthcare Technology strategy that is a resource, driving contributions to meet the organization’s vision.

Provides guidance and mentorship to the Healthcare Technology Services (HCTS) team on core internal processes including documentation, validation, support the day-to-day activities, motivates team members, and keeps the Director, IT Services updated on team performance, risks and issues/concerns.

Hires and develops employees with demonstrated leadership and effective people management ability.

Sets objectives and strategies with key performance indicators, utilizing benchmarking, facilitate life cycle capital planning and equipment standardization.

Ability to accurately estimate and manage time lines of multiple projects in collaboration with the stakeholders and to optimize efficiencies and HCTS resources with the ability to shift priorities as hospital needs dictate.

Actively participates on leadership team activities and meetings. Serves as primary linkage to other clinical organization counterparts within the organization to advocate for and make visible efforts that can benefit the different business units.

Build and maintain contacts with clinical experts and key opinion leaders to expand clinical partnerships, and to stay current with clinical needs and workflow, medical innovation, regulations, and technology direction.

Ensures hospital and department compliance to all internal processes and relevant industry regulations. Serve as local process owner of several internal processes to develop and/or improve processes, protocols, and provide training to the team.

Interfaces regularly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product development programs meet customer and regulatory needs, and to discuss Healthcare Technology Services organizational status, metrics, risks and to address issues/concerns.
