People Operations Manager (Temporary)

Remote | 6-Month Contract

Compensation: $20–$22/hr DOE

* Must be able to work W2

Join a fast-growing health tech company that’s making healthcare more accessible by connecting virtual and in-person care. This fully remote role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience in a mission-driven startup environment while covering for a team member on maternity leave.

You will:

• Help with onboarding and offboarding employees and contractors
• Support employee questions and help maintain a positive work culture
• Assist with benefits administration and ensure compliance with basic HR policies
• Manage employee documents like I-9s and change notices
• Contribute to HR projects like performance reviews and engagement programs
• Help improve HR processes and organize data

🙋 Who You Are

• You have 1–3 years of experience in HR, People Ops, or a related field
• Proficient with HR tools and systems; practical experience with Rippling HRIS and Payroll,
• You’re a clear communicator and enjoy helping others
• You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently
• You’ve used tools like Google Workspace and Slack
• Bonus: You’ve worked in a startup or earned a SHRM-CP or PHR certification
