Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Project Planning:

  • Lead Strategic Coordination: Champion the alignment with Stericycle business sponsors and IT teams to define the vision and scope of impactful projects. Take charge of outlining clear requirements and setting ambitious objectives.

  • Resource Optimization: Identify and deploy the essential resources needed for project success. Ensure the right mix of talent, technology, and budget to hit every project milestone.

  • Dynamic Scheduling & Risk Management: Craft detailed project timelines, including tasks, deadlines, and key milestones, aligned with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Proactively address and mitigate potential resource constraints and risks.

  • Best Practices Advocate: Establish and promote best practices for application development project management. Continuously refine processes to enhance efficiency and drive superior project outcomes.

2. Project Execution:

  • Transform Requirements into Solutions: Work closely with development teams to translate business needs into precise technical designs. Define and prioritize software features, engaging subject matter experts to tackle complex issues as needed.

  • Lifecycle Stewardship: Oversee every phase of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and development to testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Coordinate with Production Control to ensure seamless deployment.

  • Flawless Deployment: Manage the integration of solutions into production environments, addressing and resolving deployment challenges to ensure a smooth rollout.

3. Project Reporting:

  • Engage and Update Sponsors: Regularly interact with business sponsors to provide progress updates, discuss issues, and align on next steps. Maintain clear and engaging communication to keep stakeholders informed.

  • Resolve Issues Efficiently: Identify and resolve project issues in collaboration with management. Implement effective solutions to maintain project stability and drive success.

  • Expert Scope Management: Manage changes to the project scope by building consensus on necessary adjustments. Communicate changes clearly to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed.

In this role, you’ll drive project success and innovation, performing key responsibilities effectively with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field. An MBA or PMP certification is highly preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in IT or business project management, with direct experience supporting M&A integrations or enterprise system migrations.

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture, IT infrastructure, and data governance in complex environments.

  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Project and project management platforms.

 

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Office Environment: Typical office setting with standard equipment. Occasional movement around the office and light lifting (up to 25 lbs).

  • Sedentary Role: Primarily desk-based work requiring good manual dexterity, vision, and hearing.
