Position Overview

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Chief Investigator to join its Global Ethics & Compliance (GEC) team. This individual contributor role plays a critical part in upholding Collins’ commitment to integrity and ethical conduct. The role is responsible for conducting internal investigations into complex ethics and compliance matters and driving timely, fair resolutions in alignment with RTX values and policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end investigations into alleged violations of company policy, ethical standards, or applicable laws.
  • Analyze complex cases and draft comprehensive, accurate reports for both internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to uncover root causes and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Ethics & Compliance (GEC) team and business leaders to identify trends and mitigate compliance risk.
  • Present investigative findings to business stakeholders and executive leadership as needed.
  • Travel up to 10% to support regional investigations or operations.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree and 12+ years of related experience, or advanced degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship (mandatory for program access)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD clearance
  • 8+ years of investigations experience, including:
    • Complex/criminal investigations (e.g., False Claims Act, timekeeping fraud)
    • Corporate ethics/compliance issues (e.g., harassment, retaliation, discrimination)
  • Experience conducting investigations independently with limited supervision
  • Proven ability to brief sensitive matters to executive leadership and key stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Federal Law Enforcement
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations and legal frameworks
  • Understanding of aerospace or manufacturing environments (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to communicate and present clearly across all organizational levels

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $147,000 – $295,000 (USD)
    (Salary depends on experience, responsibilities, location, and education)
  • Eligible for:
    • Short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation (not guaranteed)
    • Annual performance-based bonuses
